Eric Foner

Eric Foner è DeWitt Clinton Professor di storia americana alla Columbia University. Ha rivestito la carica di presidente dell’Organization of American Historians, dell’American Historical Association e della society of american Historians, e ha curato le grandi mostre sulla guerra civile e sulla ricostruzione. tra i suoi libri più importanti: Free Soil, Free Labor, Free Men. The Ideology of the Republican Party before the Civil War (1970) e Reconstruction. America’s Unfinished Revolution, 1863-1877 (1988).Il suo libro più recente è Battles for Freedom. The Use and Abuse of American History (2016) e nel 2017 per I tipi della Donzelli Storia degli Stati Uniti d’America.
