Massimo Carlo Giannini

Massimo Carlo Giannini is an associate professor of early modern history in the department of communications at the University of Teramo, Italy. His main research interests are religious orders and politics, papal finances, and the Spanish monarchy in the sixteenth and seventeenth centuries. His publications include the volumes L’oro e la tiara (Bologna, Il Mulino, 2003) and, as editor, Religione, conflittualità e cultura (Rome, Bulzoni, 2005).
